About CaloriePulse
CaloriePulse is a free, browser-based calorie counter and exercise calorie burn calculator built for people in the United States and Europe who want fast, honest numbers without signing up for anything.
What we do
We combine three tools in one page: a searchable food database with real American serving sizes, a MET-based workout calculator that scales with your body weight, and a daily tracker that shows intake minus burn as a single net calorie number. A separate personal calorie calculator estimates your BMR and TDEE with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation so your daily target is personal rather than a generic 2,000 kcal.
Where our data comes from
Food energy and macronutrient values are compiled from publicly published nutrition labels, restaurant nutrition disclosures, and standard national food composition references. Exercise values use MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) figures from the widely cited Compendium of Physical Activities, adjusted for low, moderate, and high intensity.
Accuracy and limits
Every number on this site is an estimate. Portion sizes vary by kitchen, recipes change, and individual metabolism differs by body composition, age, medication, and health status. Use CaloriePulse for trends and awareness, not for clinical decisions.
How we stay free
